What To Do In Dublin?!

Hey lovelies! I'm starting up a new travel series which is going to be What To Do In... which will be some of the most popular and unpopular locations. The first post of the new series is going to be on my hometown which is Dublin!

DUBLIN ZOO

This is something that I always say to everyone that's visiting Dublin, needs to go and see! This is one of my favourite places in the city to go and visit. You will need a full day if you are going to the Zoo as it's based on 24 hectares and there are a lot of animals to see also. I wouldn't say this is a cheap place to visit but it's one of the best. All throughout the day there are a number of different talks and feedings going on for all ages.

KILMAINHAM GAOL

This is the former prison of Dublin but it is now a museum. This is one of the historic places that is in the city and it's one that is pretty popular all year round : whenever I go by it, the queues are pretty big. In the year 2016, it's the 1916 celebrations are happening in Dublin and this gaol has a lot of history with the 1916 rising. Some notable residents included : James Connolly, Éamon de Valera, Joseph Plunkett and Thomas Clarke.

GUINNESS STOREHOUSE
This has to be the most known place for tourists as there's Guinness all around the world and people want to see how its made etc. The Guinness Storehouse isn't the cheapest and there's a lot of walking to do (4 floors) so I wouldn't bring anyone that can't walk that far. At the end of the tour you get your own pint of Guinness and go up to the bar which you can see the whole of Dublin in a 360 degree view on a nice day.

These are just some places you should and could go and visit in Dublin! Let me know if you've ever been and what you have done!

  24. Love Dublin! Highly recommend Christ Church Cathedral and Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. Also, finding a local pub and listening to some music is a great way to experience the culture. We loved the Guinness Brewery by the way, and Phoenix Park is a great place to explore!
