Disappointing Products #1

Hey lovelies! I have never done a post like this before and I'm actually a bit scared. These products are just products that I haven't got on with personally but they may work for other people. This post is all about Disappointing Products.

SEVENTEEN CONTOUR KIT

This is just a product that I picked up out of a whim as I never had a contour kit before and this wasn't that expensive. I thought it was a creamy/powder formula but I was wrong. I just found this product was really hard to blend in and it didn't suit my skin colour or type : I don't have oily skin but I have pretty bad dry patches along my t-zone.

JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

I have really weird hair and it only likes a certain products : I do have frizzy hair so I said that I would give these products a go as I head a lot of good reviews and all. This is just a product that just didn't work with my hair at all and didn't even protect me from frizziness and give me straightness : which that's what it's for. I know people love this product but it just wasn't for me.

CATRICE MATT MOUSSE FOUNDATION

This is a product that my aunty got me for my birthday back in August : I love Catrice as it's one of my favourite drugstore brands and it's widely available. I had never tried a Matt Mousse Foundation before or any of the brands foundations so I was excited to try it. It just didn't go well with my skin but my sister did get the same foundation and she loves it.

These are just some Disappointing Products that I have tried and currently have in the makeup collection. As I said before because they haven't worked for me, they may work for other people : this isn't a brand shaming post.

  1. Good post, I like hearing peoples genuine thoughts about products they have used. I use the NYX Wonder Stick, it consists of a contour and highlight which both have a creamy consistency. I really like it and find it easy to blend also. So you could give this a try if you are still looking for a contour product?

  2. Thank you for sharing! It can be tough to open up against specific brands and products. But as consumers we want to know what actually works and what doesn't! I hate spending money on crappy products! Thank you!

  3. I think disappointing product posts are a really great idea - there's so many pro-product posts, it makes you wonder who is being truthful as they can't all be great can they? Great post :)

  7. I love that you made a post about disappointing products! I'd trust people who have good AND bad things to say about the products, instead of all positives. Thank you!
