Blogging VS YouTube

Hey Lovelies! It's a different type of post today but since I do both of these, I thought I would do a post on the Blogging VS YouTube - I have experience in both so let's hope it's interesting!

Blogging

Pro's

• You can blog in your tracksuit bottoms, without make up on and just chill.
• It is way easier to earn money {if you want} with blogging through sponsored posts and ads.
• Everyone is always looking for new blogs to read - it's good to be different.
• Starting the blog is really easy - there are a lot of different websites and hosts that you can make them with.
• Everyone for the most part are really nice most of the time and the community is amazing.
• It can help you get a job in the future.

Con's

• You need regular updates as you need to keep your readership up.
• Being really honest can definitely lead to trouble - there will be conflicting opinions on the internet like anywhere else.
• You will get unwelcomed criticism and hate - just like everything on the internet as they think they're better than you.
• It will take a while to build up your website and your brand.
• All of your work can disappear in a split second.
• It will take time to build up your readership - it doesn't happen over night.
• A lot of people blog so the market can be overrun.

YouTube

Pro's

• It is really easy to reach a media source through YouTube.
• YouTube can definitely set you apart of the crowd.
• You get your personality across more to your viewers.
• It is a visual aid.
• It's way easier to build up views compared to blogging.
• The community is amazing - everyone is so supportive!
• There are a lot of events during the year for everyone all around the world - VidCon, DigiTour, Summer In The City and much more.

Con's

• It is very time consuming with filming and then editing - can take up to 8 hours depending on a video.
• Vlogging isn't for everyone - some people will be better on camera than other people.
• There are a lot of trolls on YouTube so it opens you up so much hate and unwanted opinions.
• People only watch up to 5-7 minutes of videos as 99% people have a short attention span.

This is my post and my own Pro's and Con's of Blogging VS YouTube. For me YouTube is more of my thing than blogging. Let me know in the comments below on what you think is better!
